Whether it’s your hobbies, interests, workplace, or career, young people are starving for the opportunity to learn about and experience future possibilities. Today, studies show that many kids live in what they call an “opportunity gap” because they simply don’t have connections that will expose them to new worlds and experiences. Unfortunately, without these opportunities, they don’t possess the same hope and perspective. This is leading to lower social/emotional health, greater drop-out rates, less post-secondary educational pursuits, a higher poverty rate, and more overall negative and destructive behaviors.
